Regular customer ★★★★☆
Great pint of Guinness, (I'm refered to as Guinness Man when I walk in) food is very reasonable and always cooked fresh. The pizzas are very tasty and a decent size. Lots of screens for sports etc too. Friday and Saturday nights is party time and gets very busy. So if your looking for both a family pub as well as a decent bar before going out on the town, look no further.

Good to know

  • Visit on quieter weekdays if you want to avoid the very busy Friday and Saturday party nights when the DJ starts and conversation becomes difficult.

  • Order the roast dinner or pizzas when hungry as multiple customers praise the generous portions and fresh taste.
  • Try the chocolate fudge cake if you have a sweet tooth as reviewers say it alone is worth the trip to The Cock and Bull Coolock.
  • The bar next door offers better value on beer than the main lounge according to one regular customer.
  • Book or arrive early on weekends because the venue fills quickly once the sports screens and music begin.
  • Ask staff about the gluten-free options as they are clearly signposted and well received by those who need them.
